About Kalal Khatik Samaj

Kalal Khatik Samaj is a minority community spread across the whole of South India viz., Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and few parts of Tamil Nadu. Deccani hindi is generally spoken by the community as a whole. Suryavanshi Kshatriyas is another name used by people within the community to refer to themselves.

The Kalals trace their roots to northern India. According to the elders of the community, the Kalals were soldiers serving under Hindu kings and got settled in southern India in the 12th and 14th centuries because of the displacement caused by the onslaught of invading Muslim armies.

The recent advancement in technology has again given the community an opportunity to know itself better and take a closer look at its own future. This website is a small effort to bring all Kalal community members under one shelter. The main focus of this website is to serve and communicate with all Kalal community members spread across the country and abroad.
